As we embark on this revolution road, we'd like to lay out our beliefs with the hope that you'll join us. It is a new day.

You are inherently a creative and joyous spark. You deserve freedom, to make friends, to love, to imagine the future. You know what robs you of that everyday? It is uncertainty. Uncertainty about relationships... or work, but most importantly uncertainty about money. But that is silly because money is really just paper. Less than that, for most of us it's just the numbers on the bank website. 

So how can we break free from uncertainty and put the life back into our lives. Well it simple. The cure for uncertainty... is certainty. Well yeah genius, but how the heck do I get that? You get liquid.

The Liquid Way

Being liquid is a lifestyle. You've achieved it when you have enough to cover whats coming so that if you lost your job today you'd be able to live until you could score another one. Its how you know that you're going to make it to next month without going more into debt. 

When you have an emergency fund, you can pay your bills on time and if your car needs repairs, you're covered. It is a fundamentally different way of living.  But its something we've all heard of. It allows you to free your mind to focus on the things that really matter: family and and friends.

By getting liquid, we are our own best insurance, our own security.

Imagine if people didn't have the stress of debt hanging over their head. What a different world it would be. This is the way you'll teach your family and your friends and how you can be a force for good in your neighborhood.

On the Liquid team, we understand that your financial life is simultaneously one of the most intimate parts of you, but also what you don't want to spend time on. Heck, we'd rather spend time dreaming, creating, and experiencing too. 

So that is why we refuse to let money get in the way. When you are secure with your Liquid Number it is like an enormous weight has been lifted.

What if I told you that by making sure you knew for certain you'd always be able to cover your bills you could live 5 years longer? You might say so what does it matter if I die when I'm old, but I'm betting you won't think that when you get there. Managing your money is something we all know we should be doing just like we all know we should be eating healthy. But for some reason the fried and boxed food is still our mainstay. This is a wakeup call.

What is Liquid?

A magical system that for the first time lets you understand where you stand. When you know that you're on the right track towards making positive choices is will reverberate through your family and your community.

It is the way to take control of your life. It is community that keeps you inspired, technology that embraces tactile gestures, and knowledge the builds your confidence. Liquid is a portal to financial control. It is the lens through which you see your financial situation.

Liquid Philosophy

We design mobile applications that allow you to make use of money wisdom in a more human way. Our drive is to make great products.

We believe you need to touch your money:

1. Be liquid
   By always having some money as an emergency fund, you'll stay away from owing people money.
2. Get intimate, use your hands
   Your phone is always with you, it's an extension of your body. You money deserves to be inviting to touch and play with. We've bridged the gap.
3. Know what’s real
   Take the value of your house, your car, and your investments OUT of the equation, and focus on the day-to-day cash flow. Your "net worth" is just an illusion. You can't sell your house or your car today and if you did, you'd need a replacement. If you keep it real, on the cash you actually have, you won't over-inflate your self worth and you'll save up for things you can actually afford.
4. Make some change
   By making small adjustments, you keep more of what you make. Move to an apartment that is a little less expensive, eliminate the monthly car payment. The subscriptions can kill your bank account, but it is easy to reverse the flow so that money is working for you rather than against you. The best investment you can make is to spend less of your own money -- it will have higher returns than the stock market.
5. Make commerce human
   Spend money on who you really support. When we buy things, we are voting for the practices that company engages in. There are a lot of values that a company can have that you'd like to support: a commitment to the environment, to research, to quality, to service, to employees. The money we spend has ripples through the world and we ask ourselves who we want to help be successful. 
6. Have the cash
   Don't become a slave to credit. When you save up for something before you buy it has a couple of cool side effects. The first is obvious; you pay exactly what the item is worth, not more because of an interest charge. The item is truly yours. The second is a bit unexpected; when you save up for things you overcome impulse. You make a better decisions (you may find you no longer want the item) and don't end up buying things that get promptly cast away and go unused.
7. Down with spreadsheets!
   A hundred numbers sitting on a computer screen is about as inviting as a briar patch. Use technology that eliminates overwhelming information.
