How to Create the Future and Make Change
The downside of technology is that it becomes a consumption addiction. As much as it empowers us to find the answer for any question, it also allows frictionless stalking, watching, and sitting.
We just had a big family Christmas (grandparents, aunts and uncles, cousins). There were at least five times when we all laughed together because everyone in the room had their phone out checking sports scores, playing games, and looking at pictures (much more consuming than creating).
That's why the Christmas card that made the rounds this year is so relevant to most of us addicted to apps during the holidays.
The iPhone and Android Impact

The mobile phenomena has exploded over the past 4 years, but technology as a consumption mechanism goes back farther to encompass all recordable media, and even farther to include all musical instruments (one person plays, the rest listen).
A Platform to Create
Facebook and YouTube aren't all negative though. Just like musical instruments, they are platforms for us to use at our own will.
Some smart individuals get their message out for the rest of us to consume. And as technology progresses, the opportunity to be heard is there for more of us -- we went from having to play your harpsichord to uploading a video from your phone.
What Does It Mean to Create?
When you free yourself from inhibition, you'll transform memories into experiences. You have the power to share a story that can start a revolution.
Will you challenge yourself to create more than you consume tomorrow?
